I understand that the 5V signals going into an X-Bee Adapter are level shifted to 3.3 to protect the X-Bee from e.g. an Arduino UNO, which I have working now.
How should I hook up the adapter to work with the Arduino DUE operating at 3.3 Volts and make sure the DUE doesn't get fried?
GND-GND RX-TX TX-RX and 3.3V to 3V on the adapter (bypassing the regulator), or supply 5V to the adapter and count on it to shift all the levels down?
