XBee + Arduino Project
Hi there. I'm a rookie when it comes to these projects, but I'm looking to build a simple device that uses Zigbee to talk to a server. I've never used either an arduino nor zigbee before, but think that I can figure it out when I have the parts. The first step though is understanding what I need to purchase. There are a lot of options. Can someone please point me to what is necessary in terms of the arduino, the zigbee module, adapters, and any sensors? Thanks much.

Re: XBee + Arduino Project
From what you describe, you should start with the following:
2x XBee modules. Series 1 are easiest to work with. If you need longer range go with the XBee Pro.
1x USB XBee Adapter - to connect to the PC
1x XBee Adapter Kit
1x Arduino - The UNO is a good one to start with.
Sensors? That depends on what you want to do with them. We have a wide range of different sensor types: http://www.adafruit.com/category/35
The Sensor Pack is a good assortment to start experimenting with: http://www.adafruit.com/products/176

Oh, you're fantastic. I'll go through the tutorial later today, but with regards to your product recommendations, why '2x XBee modules'? Or do you mean that the Kit and the Adapter are the 2?

Re: XBee + Arduino Project
The USB adapter and the adapter kit don't include the XBee modules. You need to buy the 2 modules separately.
