Xbee using a RTC alarm for periodic transmissions

Post by lo1212 »

I'm looking for a way to operate a sensor and xbee for maybe 15 seconds, every 4 hours or so. I think this will probably involve an RTC alarm, since I must have low power usage. If the clock is the only thing running between sampling and transmissions, battery without solar will be adequate. Any suggestions on what board could accomodate an RTC and xbee?

xbee and sensor requires a mcu so a power supply is needed to power the mcu, anyway you could use millis() for measuring time
