Anybody know if three or more series 2 xbees, can be setup and commuicate with each other in AT mode ?
examples: one coordinator and two routers
or
one coordinator, one router, and one end pt.
I would like to do point to multi-point communications.
If yes what are the steps to setup the addresses of the coordinator, router(s), and or end pts?
Thanks

The folks at Digi (forums.digi.com/) know these best and can probably get you a quicker answer.

Re: Xbee series 2 point to multipoint in AT mode possible?
Thanks for the link, I will post my question there.
From what I found out last night, it appears that you have to set the coordinators destination address to a particular router when in AT mode. I hope this is not the case. I was hoping to use my 3rd xbee series to as a rf sniffer plugged into a laptop and using a terminal pgm like coolterm to help debug rf com i/o between the coordinator and router.

Re: Xbee series 2 point to multipoint in AT mode possible?
I posted my question on the digi support system and got a reply almost immediately.
Good news, they say:
"Yes, Series 2 modules supports point to multipoint topology.
All routers and End Devices should have DH,DL field setup with SH,SL of coordinator and coordinator should have broadcast address in DH, DL field i.e. DH = 0x0 and DL=0xFFFF."
I followed their instructions and now have 3 series 2 xbees in AT mode sending and receiving data to each other.
1 xbee is an AT coordinator setup in broadcast mode with Destination address of DH = 0, DL = FFFF
the other 2 xbees are AT routers with their Destination addresses set to that of the coordinator.
What the coordinator xmits is received by both routers.
The coordinator can receive data from both routers since both routers have their destination set to that of the coordinator.
The individual routers can xmit to the coordinator but not to each other.
Hope this info helps others.
