Using series 2 XBee with Tweet-A-Watt

Post by daveh225 »

This is really a pre-sales question but I'd like to know if it's possible to purchase the tweet-a-watt add on kit (ID 144) with a series 2 Xbee instead of the series 1? I already have a series 2 mesh set up, so just need the add-on kits but with series 2 XBees. Thanks!

You would have to purchase the parts separately. We can't split up the kits.

Just in case anyone else has this idea the Series 2 XBee just isn't as well suited to this task as the Series 1. The Series 1 allows sampling down to 1ms, whereas the Series 2 minimum sample rate is 32ms. Still, I'm going to work on getting a solution running with Series 2 modules, because I have a bunch of them. :D

Also, the Series 2 analog input range is 0 - 1.2V, so the voltage divider resistor values will be different. Which I completely forgot when I ordered them. :(
