Buzzer output

Post by rj44319 »

I am NOT a light sleeper. I usally need sirens and truk horns to get me up. Is there any way to use a buzzer from lets say a fire alarm?
Or will it pull too much from the ATMEL? I had a idea for a 2n2222 transistor and a 12v relay to trigger truck horns. Figured it would be too loud!

connecting an relay or transistor to the output of the clock(s) when the alarm goes off is a pretty 'trivial' firmware mod. :)

What PC program would you suggest to edit the program in and flash it on the chip with the usb tiny isp?
