Has anyone ever attempted any of these hacks?
I want to build a Monochron, USB power it (it only draws 50mA, USB can provide up to 100mA), and possibly be able to set the settings via PC and a virtual COM on the Arduino. Also, maybe even an atomic clock on the 'duino.

Re: Monochron hacks
we have some photos (not yet turned into a website) on how to cut off the 9V cable end to have the wire go out the back.
using a USB cable is 'up next' but its not too tough, see the DIGG button kit for which wires to extract, then solder the black to ground and red to the 'output' of the 5V regulator.
