Re: Bus Pirate
I've been using some really basic features of the bus pirate along with my Arduino to monitor & debug my Arduino play. The bus pirate can measure up 5 vdc, and do some simple frequency counting, so you can check your Arduino pin's outputs. Also you can use it's pwn output to drive some Arduino inputs for testing.
You can use the SUMP logic analyzer client for monitoring several pins at once.
I've also used the bus pirate, sump logic analyzer, and the panasonic pna-4602 IR detector to view IR signals from remotes. (The first thing I did with the IR detector was to just use the bus pirate to power it so I could see the waveform with my oscilloscope.)
You could do most of this with two arduino's, but you'd have to be load specific sketches into the 2nd arduino. There is also more advanced stuff to get into with i2c & spi, etc.
Hope This Helps,

Re: Bus Pirate
My Bus Pirate shows the voltages as "5V: 3.3 | 3.3V: 2.2" when I use low price BANNED the 'v' voltage monitor command. My DVM says the are actually the correct 5V and 3.3V. Anybody know why it is doing this? Firmware is v3.0.
