My First Multimeter

Post by ntroast »

I am looking to get my first multimeter. I have been doing some research and found the Mastech MS8268, and Amprobe AM-510. They are both autoranging, ~$30, and rated CAT III. I'm really torn between the two.

Mastech makes a good meter for the money. I don't have any experience with the Amprobe, but I have non-contact voltage detection on my [urlhttp://www.adafruit.com/products/308]Extech [/url] and it is a really handy feature if you do any work with mains voltage.
