Substitue for LadyAda's Ladyada's Electronics Toolkit

I am on the notification/waiting list, but that could be 1-2 weeks before I can have one in hand, assuming enough kits are assembled.

If I want/need one sooner to fix 3 laptops w/loose power jacks, what are decent options. I prefer to get one here or at least from a company that carries LadyAda products.


This company DOES carry an Adafruit product... is this a decent buy @ $130 vs. $100 here?

I'm not familiar with the soldering iron in the SF kit. But the specs sound good and there is a nice selection of other tools and supplies. A good iron will be the most expensive tool in the kit. You might want to research the iron a bit for reviews on reliability & performance before pulling the trigger.
