Mastech MAS830 Test Lead Clips

Post by punkzter »

Hi,

I purchased a Mastech MAS830 a year or so ago, and I would like to buy some test lead clips for it. I'm having some trouble finding them. I don't want to order something and then find out it won't work.

Can you point me towards a good test lead kit? I would like some mini-grabbers and maybe alligator clips.

Thanks,
Brad

Unfortunately, there's no standard size for test probe sockets, and I didn't see anything about accessories for that unit on the Mastech website.

You'll probably need to measure the probe connectors then hit Mouser and Digikey, go to the sections for test probes, and start reading datasheets.

All the meters I've owned use standard test leads like these. http://www.mcmelectronics.com/product/2 ... fgod52cALQ For quality I like Pomona and Fluke but there are others.

The stock leads have shrouds around the bannana plugs. Shrouded plugs from another manufacturer may or may not fit. But leads with plain bannana plugs will fit the Mastech (and most any other) meter.
