Spend the last 3 hours installing uninstalling deleting drivers, stopping windows from doing auto drivers, downloading a different version of the software...restarting my computer a dozen times in between...Lurked this forum and have attempted every method listed to try to get this thing working.
Same result...software doesn't detect the microscope... Seems from my looking that this problem is extremely common with these usb microscopes...not sure what the failure rate on them is...Not impressed.

The failure rate is fairly low, but the people who get them working rarely post to mention things worked as planned. The rate is a bit higher than we demand from the stuff we make ourselves though (0.1% is an upper limit we'll tolerate until we find what to improve), and we sell enough 'scopes that the law of averages catches up to us fairly often.
It does sound like there's a hardware problem with your microscope, so let's try a new one. Send a note to [email protected] with a link to this thread and the folks there will handle the replacement.
