Hakko FX-888 Died
Hi, I have a hakko FX-888 120v soldering iron which I run from a 240-120v step-down transformer. I tried to turn it on today and it does not seem to be doing anything. I've taken the case off and I'm getting 127v at from live to neutral, the fuse has not blown although on the 3 taps (red wires) coming from the top of the transformer, I haven't managed to see any voltages there. Does anyone have any ideas how I can fix this - I have a good knowledge of electronics, however I don't really have the time to diagnose this problem myself. Alternatively, if anyone knows of a contact number for technical support for hakko (uk or us) or whether I can have my soldering station sent back and a replacement sent out, that would be great, thanks, Sam
