AaE without Flash?

Post by stephanie »

Is there a way to watch Ask an Engineer and participate in the chat without having to install Flash on my computer?

Thanks!

You can join the chat using a normal IRC client:
#adafruit-industries6796
chat1.ustream.tv

Unfortunately, you can't watch the video on your computer without Flash. If you have a smart mobile device (Android/iPhone) you can always install the mobile app and watch from there.

OK, so I can't listen to the show live. I thought I would just try to follow in the IRC channel. Whenever I tried to ask a question, it said I had no voice. How do I get permission to post in the IRC? I was trying to ask legitimate questions

Were you signed in with an IRC account? That might be the problem.

Howdy,
Do you mean I need a registered nickname to chat on the irc channel? That is certainly adafruits option, but I hope that is not what you mean. I don't need anouther login to remember and I doubt I would bother. It is a big enough pain to use this forum. The message validation here usually does not work and I have to validate multiple times for every message.
