Hello,
I'm using Adafruit JPEG Camera (ID: 397) as part of my masters project. Currently, I can successfully get jpeg images out of the camera, but I'm wondering how I can use the camera to get m-jpeg video.
Is it possible to get m-jpeg video using the serial interface ?
Is it possible to video record using the VC0706 Comm Tool ?
Can you please help me?

Re: TTL SERIAL CAMERA: M-JPEG output
The serial interface is too slow for that . It takes a few seconds per frame at least to transmit the jpeg data.

Thank you very much for your reply,adafruit_support_bill wrote:The serial interface is too slow for that . It takes a few seconds per frame at least to transmit the jpeg data.
but how does the camera provide its m-jpeg output?
Also, is it true to assume that the CVBS pin outputs an analog signal?

Re: TTL SERIAL CAMERA: M-JPEG output
Good question. There is no mention of m-jpeg in the Comm tool manual. The DSP datasheet implies that the UART interface can be used to transmit frames & the SPI interface can do both frames & video. Unfortunately, the SPI interface is not broken out on the board.

The CVBS pin is an analog composite video signal.

Thanks,
but I believe this should be clearly indicated in the technical details: http://www.adafruit.com/products/397#Te ... %20Details, where it currently states that the output is standard JPEG/M-JPEG, however there is no M-JPEG output with the current hardware settings.
