I'm a 50 year old kid that wants to play with wearable electronics. I have over 30 years costuming experience but only old school when it comes to wearable electronic garments (xmas lights type and fiber optics). I want to ride the wave of neopicxels, led, how to create circuits and learn everything to do with thh the programming of them all.
Where do I start? Do I need to school become an electronic engineer? My community college offers a 2 year degree in industrial electricity/electronics. Would it help? Or do you think I can learn on my own with your learning platform? Give me some guidance because I'm itching to start creating and your company has it all!

You don't need a degree to get started. We have lots of tutorials and plenty of help here in the forums if you get stuck. If you have costume experience, you should have no problem with any of these. https://learn.adafruit.com/search?q=wearable+neopixel
The chameleon scarf would be a good place to start.
