If you could create something that smoothly captures any DirectX and OpenGL games you would be a hero. ;)

I may look into that more at some point if I ever have the time. It seems it can be done using Taksi http://taksi.sourceforge.net/ (or using its source-code rather). Aren't most games able to run in "fake fullscreen" mode anyway though? I'm more interested in getting it to work via HDMI sniffing/passthrough (probably impossible for HDCP enabled sources) or via some kind of light-sensors (or a camera pointed at the TV). Most people want this for TV/Movies, not games. That said, I have used it with a few games including Deablo 3 by running them under fake fullscreen, and it works great!

Here's some youtubes of my TV's
128 Channel on 140" Projector: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=elAZTC0W8zk
50 Channel on 52" TV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Xxlmw8r38I and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVK9INQgn7k

I'm still working on improving the software for movies (though it's pretty good already), and on a demo video showing all the movie clips that show it off well.

"Fake Fullscreen" is generally an option in the Video settings for some games and programs. What it means is that the app is displaying a full-screen window at whatever the native Windows resolution is, without changing the video mode of the monitor. It might also be called "Windowed Mode" though that usually means in a window that is less than fullscreen.

I have recently delved into the Adalight project with no success, having patiently waited for the goods to arrive in the UK, I put the kit together last night and appear to be receiving no glow love :(

The LEDStream compiled and uploaded successfully, as far as I can tell the wiring is spot on, I believe that the pixels do work, as they have lit up at random points but in block colours funnily enough changing when I removed and reinserted the USB cable to the Arduino Uno :/ though these were random colours and had no consistency.

I have had no Red Blue Green flash sequence either... and have reset and re-uploaded the code numerous times

It consists of 50 WS2801 pixels and a 5V 2A DC Adapter (Could this be the problem? I am waiting for my 10V 5A from Adafruit)

Black - GND
Blue - Data
Green - Clock
Red - +5V

I've also tried switching the green and blue with no luck :/

Did these LEDs come from Adafruit? I don't recognize the wire colors as a variety we've carried. If they're from another source, it's possible the order of the wires (and the in vs out ends of the strand) may be different...you might be able to read the pin functions on the PCB inside one of the plastic LED BANNED.

Are there any easy tools for running games in window mode but still using the fullscreen, hiding the titlebar and window boarder.

But i really need something easy that works on its own. A program that you have to run every time by yourself and maybe even setup multiple options every time is just annoying if you pop in for a fast game..or mabye just leave in an instant because no one is online and come back 5 min later and then have to setup and run all again.

I just want my UnrealTournament be working with lights. But the windows boarders are annoying. And switching out of the game to run some removal program doesn't add to the fun.

Seems it only supports 49 Zones..but i have 50. Is there a way to import Lightpack profiles? Or use a text editor on profiles?

Download and install the newest version of Server IR from here:
http://www.ir-max.ru/download.php

then replace Server_IR.exe with this file:
http://212.106.167.10:8080/lightpack/Se ... ones_1.zip
It's recompiled version with 150 zones especially for adalight users. It's 100% viruses free, don't worry! :)

Let us know if it works!

127 Zones
ohoho. When you have a projector Ambilight backlight is not needed. Ambilight need for monitors.
The distance between the LED and the wall should not be less than 10 cm, the normal distance of 15-20cm.
125 RGB LEDs will not bring you happiness.

10 zones(LEDs) video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9cIETWX0Td0

The meaning is that the lights would not accurately convey the image on the screen, and the diffuse light on the wall.
The image on the screen should slowly dissipate off screen.
