Quick question to get get my new Adalight PERFECT

Hey guys, got in all my stuff, got it all configured, and it's AWESOME. Well.

ALMOST

100 light LED on my 55 inch vizio M3D550KD, and it looks great.
I only have two question I wasn't able to find an answer to that will make it 110% perfect like in videos on youtube.

1) what option do I change to turn off the ambient light? Movie plays, and if the screen is black, there is a soft white glow around the entire picture. I want the lights to go out if the scene is black.

2) the top and bottoms of my adalight don't work unless the movie is in full screen without borders. Either with VNC on my test laptop, or in XBMC on my media center, the same thing occurs. I have XBMC set to floating full screen like it should be.

These are my only issue right now to get this thing 100%. Help please! I'm so excited, ALMOST THERE!

Morning bump. Been up all night trying to figure this out, someone knows how to get adalight to work with XBMC and Windows 7.

Please. I'm not gonna sleep till I get this thing working.

Howdy,

1) Near the top of the Adalight.pde sketch, you'll see this line:

static final short minBrightness = 120;

Just change the number to '0' and you're good.

2) Does the movie play in a letterboxed format, i.e. with black bars top and bottom? Adalight is based on screen captures (not the source data stream), so it's going to handle those literally. You can either fudge the Adalight code a bit to capture a smaller area between the bars, or there was a post recently in the forums that claimed to do this automatically (I'd not tested it myself)...some searching around might turn that up.
