power supply help for WS2801

Hi

I Hope, somebody kan help me out for one newbye question.

I bought my Teensy 2, and 2x50 ws2801 strips..

i got a bunch of net supplyes and my question is:

Could i use ex. a 5v 14A for those strips?

wich will destroy my light... the Volts or the Amps? is it the Volt wich can be variable og is it the amp, so long that it can deliver the minimum spec?

Yes, if it's a regulated 5 Volt supply, you should be fine. The lights will draw only as many Amps as needed, so it's okay if this number is 'oversize'.
