Any tips for getting the output of the piranha to be very diffused? I can't get a nice warm white out of it for the life of me. I have put it inside a ping-pong ball and the surface of the ball is very discretely colored when all channels are at full brightness. I get one quadrant that is primarily green and blue, and a full hemi that is mostly red. This effect is most pronounced at the limits of the angular range, but even at 20 degrees I can really see a lot of color separation... Are there other LEDs that are better at producing an even mix across a wider angular range=?
Thoughts?

All RGB leds exhibit this property to some degree. It is less obvious in the diffused packaged ones: https://www.adafruit.com/products/159
I've had some luck diffusing the output from a water-clear packaged led by scuffing the surface with a scotch-brite pad.

A bit of fine grit sandpaper worked very well... Thanks for the tip!
