I've got 2 25-pixel strands, and 2 5v 1500ma power supplies.
Is there some way I can use the power breakout leads to power one strand with each supply, while using the connectors to daisy chain data, clock, and ground? That would effectively connect the +5 of each supply together... Or should I either cut the connectors and wire each strand individually, or buy one larger power supply?

not a good idea - you can't connect power supply outputs together or they could be damaged permanently
