I will not make the Import settings from Boblight, Lightpack (Prismatik) or other programs. use AmbiBox wizard.
Features of wizard capture zones.

Write me to e-mail, I will send version for test.Carkhass wrote:Win 8 x64, yay.demmax2004 wrote:I fixed a bug autoprofiles.AmbiBox works on automatic profiles, but in some situations it fails
Windows 7 x64 ???The Zune Window is detected as "UIX Render Window" and the application path stay blank.
Zune x64 application ????
Yay, Zune seems to be in 64b since he don't appear with the "(32 bits)" ont the task manager.

Hi Everyone!
I was wondering if it is possible to drive more than 150 LEDs with AmbiBox. I have a 110" Screen with about 200 LEDs. Will there be any update in this regard?
Cheers Michael

Theoretical calculations:
Baud rate with a device 115200 bit/s
RS232 packet (need to to send one byte): 1 start bit + 8 bit data + 1 stop bit = 10 bit
Adalight packet (200 (RGB Led) zones = 200 * 3 (one led) = 600 leds (bytes)):
(4 bytes header + 600 bytes zones data) = 604 bytes ----> 604 RS232 packets = 604 * 10 = 6040 bit.
Theoretical maximum FPS = 115200/6040 = 19
19 FPS - Are theoretical calculations (do not include sending data to SPI LED-Strip).
Really: 14-15 FPS (very slowly, all programs display capture screen FPS = 29 -35)
If the film at 30 frames per second, while Adalight device must show a minimum of 30 FPS.
Maximum comfort LED = 120 (Really FPS = 25-27)

So I am about to try and tackle doing this with a 133" screen. So lets say that I had 250 lights.. would it be possible to treat them in pairs? So instead of having every single light change to have it so pairs change. Thus reducing it to 125 "controlled" lights. Can you do something like that to increase the amount of lights you can control?
Or.. with as big of a screen as I have, am I pretty much just stuck with doing 1 light all the way around the screen that varies due to the avg calculation instead of each individual light?

250 lights = 15 maximum theoretical FPS, really 11 FPS

Chunkers, I have a simiar HTPC setup and would like to do this. Are you saying that Ambibox works with Windows Media Center Live TV in fullscreen mode? If so, this is great!Chunkers wrote:OK, I re-installed AmbiBox and Playclaw and it is all now working correctly, excellent!
CPU load seems much lower than with Processing and MCE and XBMC run in full screen with no fudges under Windows 7 so I am happy.
I am now going to fabricate a simple frame to attach to the back of my TV and finish things off.
Chunkers
For years I have been waiting for an "ambilight" solution that could function with Windows Media Center (At fullscreen).
*CAN ANYONE CONFIRM that Ambibox works with Windows Media Center Live TV in fullscreen mode PLEASE*

Re: Program AmbiBox for Adalight (for Windows users only). Updated 27.01.2013
Need modified source code.Pairs must support Adalight device.
Now:
for(int iLed = 0; iLed < TOTAL_LEDS; iLed++)
{
- Send_to_SPI_LED_RGB_color(rgb[iLed]);
Need to do:
for(int iLed = 0; iLed < TOTAL_LEDS/2; iLed++)
{
- for(int pairs = 0; pairs < 2; pairs++)
- {
- // Send two identical data of RGB
- Send_to_SPI_LED_RGB_color(rgb[iLed]);
- iLed++
- }
Remark:
total leds = 240
total zones = 240/2 = 120
Pairs leds:[1-2]_[3-4]_[5-6]_[7-8]_[9-10]_[11-12]_[13-14]_[15-16]_[17-18].......[237-238]_[239-240]
Zones:____[1]__[2]___[3]___[4]____[5]____[6]_____[7]_____[8]_____[9]...........[119]_____[120]

Thanks for the app demmax2004, I had Adalight for approximately a year and in this time I used Proccesing at first (really bad), later I change to Lightpack (I had problems with flickering mouse and slow pc*), I tried your old version of the program (ambilight?) but it doesn't work fine and now, finally, I install AmbiBox and works perfect, thanks again!
*P.S. Mi computer is a Intel i5-2500K, 16GB RAM, and Windows8 x64
