I posted in the a different forum:

It was suggested that the sparkfun backpack would work with this display, I want to make absolutely sure before I put out my coin! :)

I've been comparing the 20 pin, pin-out of the two displays. I have spotted the following differences:
PDF's ( and (
pins 4-11 are data vs 7-14
cs1 & cs2 are 12, 13 vs 15 and 16
reset is pin 14 vs 17.
Chip enable is 17 vs 6.

I'm afraid the spark fun backpack without reprogramming wont work for that display. I'm not savvy enough to reconfigure the source code =/

I'm really hoping adafruit makes a backpack someday, that graphics LCD would be the best looking display (of that style) I have ever seen.

I did find this:
JP Serial Graphic LCD 128x64 Module

JP serial GLCD 128x64 module is a simple and cost effective interface controller module. It supports Graphic LCD display base on KS0108 controller. Also it will work with any microcontroller. It has 6 font lib, 2 CGRam(1024Bytes), 12 CGRam(128Bytes) and more useful functions. Also it will work with any microcontroller capable of accepting asynchronous serial data. ( CGRam = Custom Image and Character Generator Ram)

Power: 5V VDC <25mA (not include GLCD display)
Size: 65mm x 25mm (2.5” x 1.0”)
Speed: 2400, 4800, 9600 and 19200 Baud.

$29.95 + SH $7.95

bit steep, have $65 into both display and backpack :(
