I posted in the a different forum:

It was suggested that the sparkfun backpack would work with this display, I want to make absolutely sure before I put out my coin!

I've been comparing the 20 pin, pin-out of the two displays. I have spotted the following differences:driverblock wrote:I had a look at the Sparkfun board. It looks like the display should work with it.
PDF's (http://www.vishay.com/docs/37329/37329.pdf) and (http://www.sparkfun.com/datasheets/LCD/GDM12864H.pdf)
pins 4-11 are data vs 7-14
cs1 & cs2 are 12, 13 vs 15 and 16
reset is pin 14 vs 17.
Chip enable is 17 vs 6.
I'm afraid the spark fun backpack without reprogramming wont work for that display. I'm not savvy enough to reconfigure the source code =/
I'm really hoping adafruit makes a backpack someday, that graphics LCD would be the best looking display (of that style) I have ever seen.
