Hello, my wife bought for me one of your HDMI displays as a Christmas gift.

It seems like the display is damaged though. Pretty much all the mounting tabs are either broken off crushed or very bent.
I tried attaching it to my Raspberry PI (with your posted config.txt), a bbb, and a normal pc using vga.
The display only shows vertical lines all across the screen. It seems like the PI is sending the video signal but no image is displayed, only bars similar to if you imagine a UPC barcode.
I can see the color of the bars fade to different colors in response to interacting with the OS.
I've tried a different cables and verified the devices work with other displays.
Hopefully you can tell me what I am doing wrong, otherwise I'll have to return it assuming it is broken.

That looks like a problem with the controller.
There isn't much that we can troubleshoot on one of those, and clearly it doesn't work with a standard video signal.
