odd Neopixel ring 24 issues

My ring has been working great, I tried to upload some new code other than strand test that was originally designed for the GEMMA.

I changed the pin to 6 and now only one LED lights up on the ring even when I upload fresh ring code from the strand test example.

All my solder joints are good, there is not bridging. The only LED illuminated is the one at the DATA IN location.

its weird, I feel like by trying to upload diff. code, I reduced the ring to one LED.

any advice?

Please post a detailed picture of the ring and your solder connections

I had a neopixel ring 16 that I overheated with solder gun and just messed it up bad, so this one I have been VERY careful with my solder joints so it works. again, only one LED works when running standard strandtest, its the led closest to DATA IN.

any advice appreciated. maybe have a bad ring?
