Neo pixel spacing
I have a lighting project I was thinking of using NeoPixels for. Is it possible to have individual pixels with about 9-12 inches spacing between them.

Yes. We sell individual pixels in several forms. You can typically space them out to a couple of feet before you have to start worrying too much about noise or signal loss.

They should work fine then. I was looking into using these, http://www.adafruit.com/products/1559 . Would it be possible to hook the Din of two chains of these off of one pin of the 5v Trinket?

A fan-out of two usually works. You will want to keep the distance from the Trinket to the first pixels fairly short for best results.Would it be possible to hook the Din of two chains of these off of one pin of the 5v Trinket?

Would this work if I used leds cuted from a strip and tape together by ribbon cable?adafruit_support_bill wrote:Yes. We sell individual pixels in several forms. You can typically space them out to a couple of feet before you have to start worrying too much about noise or signal loss.

I want to make a wall of glass bricks with a led each ( centered ).
Since the blocks are about 11 inches wide, I estimate that to be the length between leds.
Is it possible?

Yes, that should be possible.

Re: Neo pixel spacing
I'm asking because I read somewhere that: "Using ribbon cable you can string these up to 6" apart (after that, you might get power droops and data corruption). "
Is this related to some older version of NeoPixel?
I will have 128 individual LEDs and was thinking split into 2 groups of 4 groups of 64 or 32.
I need to be sure that it will work because I have a limited budget given by my university... :P

Re: Neo pixel spacing
It looks like you will have them arranged in a large matrix array. If you run +5v and GND to the start of each row, the voltage drop should not be a problem.
