2 out of the four of the NeoPixel 144 LED strips I ordered are dead on arrival: one of them is dead 1/5th of the way into the
strip, and one doesn't light at all...
I have a custom harness that follows all of the recommendations from adafruit best practices guide:
1) large capacitor between power supply and LED strip to smooth out power supply switching fluctuations
2) Resistor on data-line
3) Strips are oriented the correct direction.
4) Arduino Mega drives the whole system.
5) I only switch the strips when the circuit is cold.
6) I use the JST/SM connectors to be able to swap the strips around to the same endpoint, to rule out any electronics harness issues.
7) I'm using your 5V/10A power supply, and only powering two strips at a time, so I'm not over-driving the power supply.
I'm now in a bit of a pickle with my client, and need replacements ASAP...
How can I expedite getting these back to you, and getting replacements?
I'm happy to go through any debugging steps that you wish; however I'm strongly convinced that I'm not doing anything silly/stupid.
