Hi everyone,
Looking at getting the Graphic KS0108 128x64 LCD display (ID:188), but I'm having a bit of trouble deciphering the datasheet (which apparently isn't the exact same with no mfg. model number listed either...) to determine the power draw of this device. At first glance it appears it might be a max of 7.5 mA, but that seems pretty tiny so it makes me think it doesn't include the backlight. There's the 660 mA max rating for "LED Forward Current - Array" which sounds closer, but the whole thing is just a little unclear to me. I also have no idea what IEL is.
Any help?
Thanks a bunch!

The datasheet breaks out the backlight separately. The options are array-lit, edge lit, or EL. I'll find out which backlight technology our display uses.

This is an edge lit LED backlight. For power draw, we use a similar display for the monochron kit and the whole thing could be powered at under 100mA even with full LEDs so budget in like 75mA?
