EL performance

Post by Teberoth »

Does anybody know how well the 10cm*10cm panels perform with the 2xAAA inverters? I have a 4xAAA and that works fine but it is a bit big and feels like overkill while the 1xAAA is a little weak. The panel is cut down by ~20% so it is less than full load.

Percieved brightness is tough to measure, and depends on things like the amount of ambient light nearby. Light levels that are barely noticable in full daylight can be blinding at night.

About the best I can say is, "it should be somewhere between the two".

I don't suppose it would be possible to get a picture with all three running side by side?

Without a common reference standard, it wouldn't do any good.

By the time we adjusted the ambient light levels and exposure to show a difference among the three power levels, it's practically certain that the 1-AAA and 4-AAA levels would be brighter/dimmer and closer together/farther apart than the levels you're seeing.
