Need some assistance getting this device to work.
History
Ordered device - tried to get it to start up - using various power sources.
Screen remained black.
Notified support and gave them a description of my trials and they sent me another one.
I tried the same tests again
Hooked power up to
12V 3 amp power supply
4.3V rechargeable Lithium battery from a laptop (meter says more than 1A output)
Two of the 4.3v batteries in series (over 8V)
12Volt lead acid battery (12.8.V)
No screen light up and all cases.
Tried pressing the 3 unlabelled buttons as well in case one was a power button.
Hooked the device up to a Raspberry PI (that works on HDMI cable) with an extension cable (continuity tested) and a power source.
No screen action.
Question:
1. If you hook on up on its own should the screen indicate it is working - a glow or a beep ??
2. If it is connected to the RPI should you see the RPI boot.
3. Any other suggestions to get this device to light up and work.

Re: TFT-LCD 4.3 Diag TV
The screen doesn't do anything until it sees a valid NTSC/PAL signal on one of its input lines. It detects the live input automatically.
A RasPi should put out enough of a signal to make it work, but try connecting it to some other video output device.
The buttons on the back bring up an options menu, but only when there's an active signal on one of the inputs.

Thanks.
Retried with your solution. Still no luck.
Must try to find an output/input device to test with.
To test both cable and device and RPI.

Re: TFT-LCD 4.3 Diag TV
The RasPi's output should work for any TV that isn't pure digital, and the screen should accept input from any VCR or disc player.
