Hi,
I just received 50 meters of LED goodness. Wheee! I'd like to point out some inaccuracies in the product description that that may be relevant to others and that might need to be updated.
On the product page http://www.adafruit.com/products/1138 it says:
To wire up these strips we suggest picking up some JST SM plug and receptacle cables.
These contain links to the 2 pin JST plugs. All my 4 meter rolls came with 3 pin JST plugs, but the one 2-meter in the pack had a 2 pin plug. You may want to not only link to the two-pin plugs as I now have a mix of both, but can't really use half of them. Could have been avoided easily.

Re: 60 RGB LED Strip - plug & receptacles
Just adding to my own topic so that others that are using the Adafruit LED strips with Teensy 3.1 & the OctoWS2811 library:
- None of the 60 LED per Meter had 2-pin JST. They all come with 3-pin versions that Adafruit does not stock.
- You cannot use any of the Adafruit's fancy Level shifters with Teensy 3.1. You MUST use http://www.adafruit.com/products/735 or a similar IC to get the IO levels up to a full 5V.
I now have 8 Level Converters http://www.adafruit.com/products/757 & 12 JST cables extra. I guess I'll just keep them since they're useful, but posting it here as a tip to others doing a similar project.

We'l be putting in some 74AHC125's into the shop soon for teensy 3.1 customers which is what paul s suggests. the thing about the strips is that we can't really control what JST connectors they put on. we've asked over and over for it to be consistent but it isn't, not even within shipments if you need a refund for your level shifters and JST's please email support@adafruit with a link to this thread.

Nah. They'll come in handy sooner or later. Too much fuzz for nothing. Just wanted to check it there was a way to improve it.
