separating neopixel strip

I purchased a 4 meter (60 led/m) strip but it only had a connector on one end ( I thought there would be one on each end), the dout end .
That caused a bit of confusion!

What is the best way to separate the meter segments? Unsolder the connections?

If you are separating at a soldered join, then de-soldering is a little neater. Otherwise, you can just cut them.
