Hi Adafruit Forum-goers -
I'm considering a purchase of a few of these small LCD or TFT displays:
1.8" 18-bit color TFT LCD display with microSD card breakout http://www.adafruit.com/products/358 (I'm not sure this one can play videos, maybe only pictures?)
NTSC/PAL (Television) TFT Display - 2.0" Diagonal http://www.adafruit.com/products/911
I have a project where I might have eight of these small screens, each showing a different video. I'm thinking to have the 8 screens fed signal from one Raspberry Pi.
Does 8 different video screens from 1 Raspberry Pi seem possible to you folks?
Is the TFT or the LCD better suited to that purpose?
Thanks!
Justin

Re: One Raspberry Pi - multiple TFTs or LCDs?
I posted some additional documentation on this project here: http://links.net/jex/2014-metaphysicalplotdevice/
Included is some footage I filmed of AdaFruit folks Limor and Phil back in 2006 :-)
I'd love to get some guidance on the best way to display 9 video signals in 9 small windows, 6 inches wide by 6.25 inches tall.
During "Ask an Engineer" Limor suggested that I could get up to 3 displays off a single Raspberry Pi once the Pi Display is available. So now I'm looking at a mix of a single large monitor and three small maybe. The search continues to push videos into the Metaphysical Plot Device!

I'm interested in exactly the same - I need solution to drive 8 small TFT LCDs (one of those that Justin mentioned above) and have at least 5-10fps (gif or video). Any suggestions about what's the cheapest way and what hardware and software needed?

An impressive project, I should say. I'm working on 2 projects now and it seems to me I'm stuck with the KYOCERA Display specs. Waiting for the products I ordered. Any experience with those? Any worthy alternatives? Just curious, cause it seems that your project is quite similar to the one I'm currently trying to complete. Thanks.I posted some additional documentation on this project here: http://links.net/jex/2014-metaphysicalplotdevice/essay writer

Sorry for the bump.
