Hello,
We want to realize a car radio based on raspberry pi.
We are wondering if a LCD display is fine for such a project. Like this one: https://www.adafruit.com/products/1110
Will it fit this kind of need? Is it reasonable to think that the view angle and the brightness will be enough?
Will it be better to use a positive or a negative one? Or is it just a matter of taste?
Same question about a PiTFT: is it reasonable to think that the view angle and the brightness will be enough?

That all depends on what angle and brightness you need. Do you have those values?is it reasonable to think that the view angle and the brightness will be enough?

Well, that's like in a car, when you're driving and check your car radio.
I would say the angle is less than 45°, roughly around 35° maybe?
The brightness, I don't know. It will be between very low (night time), what is not a problem I think and very bright (day light in summer). Well if it's not possible to see well in "extreme" brightness conditions, it's not too bad, but it would be not practical to be unable to see what's on the screen in a normal daylight.
Well my question is just to have an idea, if anyone can tell if it's sure it won't fit, or maybe it will fit, or sure it will.

If you are going with the 16x2 displays I'd go with the negative style (bright letters dark background) This is my favorite display, unfortunatly it does not work with the i2c backpacks but you might be able to design something if you are building your own system https://www.adafruit.com/products/823

OK, that's my taste too actually. Well, we'll try then, anyway.
The page https://www.adafruit.com/products/1110
tells the negative LCD + PCB come as a kit, so we expect to have the i2c connection working.
EDIT: ok, you were talking about the blue OLED ones. Well we hope the RGB negative will be OK. The angle of use doesn't seem to be that wide anyway.
