Hey all.
I recently experimented with the LED matrix and the LED Matrix Shield for IOIOMint (PIXEL Gut Kit), which worked perfectly over Bluetooth.
Now I wanted to hook the LED Matrix from this kit to an Raspberry Pi to do more programming, and somewhere here I did something wrong.
When I hook it up as described in the adafruit tutorial and use this library https://github.com/hzeller/rpi-rgb-led-matrix, the matrix shows everything but not in the right order.
When displaying the text from the demo program, two parts of the display move to the right and the other 2 part move to the left. See gif file (http://www.2imgs.com/4070a78d5e)
First of all the labeling of my LED matrix is not correct because it labels adress pin D as ground. Anyway because I think it is the same as with the other matrices I connect address pin D as shown in most tutorials.
Then I tried different things to solve the problem. Changing G and B pins because I read they are switched sometimes, then I even started to switch the adress pins, but nothing changed it.
Does someone have an idea what could be wrong ?
I don't think it's in the software because I didn't change anything.
Thanks,
Patrick

can you post a clear, detailed picture of the connector?swazy wrote:First of all the labeling of my LED matrix is not correct because it labels adress pin D as ground. Anyway because I think it is the same as with the other matrices I connect address pin D as shown in most tutorials.

The left one is the input and the right one the output.

Hey,
As it turns out the LED panel shiped with the IOIO shield from PIXEL has different pins and only uses 3 address pins, so one would have to change the code inorder to get it to work. see: https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=de# ... wUobah14ec
I already ordered new panels.
Thanks.
