So I am good at math not words so please bear with my terrible english, grammer, and general sentence structure. I purchaged the HDMI 4 Pi: 5" Display (no Touch) w/Mini Driver - 800x480 HDMI display a few days ago and was excited as heck to see the display in action. I pulled out my nerd gear, hooked up a 5V source possible of putting out 2A, plenty for the sleek looking new tft screen in my hands. I hooked it up to my Raspberry Pi and waited for the screen to do something. I hit the power button and all I got was a white screen with thin spaced blueish vericle lines spaced evenly on the display. I then tried hitting the "auto" button to see if it was some how reading the wrong input .... no dice. I went to the adafruit website and entered a new config.txt on my pi to try and see if that was the issue, still no video on the new tft screen. I decided it could be something with the pi so I took the same HDMI cable and hooked it from my pi to my computer monitor which imideiatly turned on showing the new config.txt settings working as hoped. I plugged the pi back into the new tft and tried random combos of the "menu", "power", "+", and "-" but nothing happened. I also unhooked all of the ribbon cables and made sure there were good connections between them and the boards. Like all good nerds when running out of ideas I turned to google to no avail. Long story short what should I do? I am not sure if there is a bad internal setting that I can not change and if so how do I do a factory reset, or if there is a bigger problem and I just recieved a lemon unit. If I did recieve a lemon how to I exchange it for a new model, I have a coustomer waiting for a product I need a display for.
Thank you for your support!
