dimming RGB LEDs

Post by iesre »

I am confused about how to dim individually the three LEDs in a common anode RGB LED (to mix colors). I understand how to do this with a common cathode LED (by using the PWM pins), but how do I connect a CA LED to do this? show me the physical connections and some code? Thanks.

You reverse the physical connections Hooking the cathodes to the pins and the anode to 5v then you need to reverse the pwm perion so if CC off is 0 and full on is 255 then for CA 255 is off and 0 is full on.
