I'm buying a few colors of el wire (starter kits) and a splitter. If I want to share the wire across 2-3 kids (which is what the splitter is for), don't I also need to buy some male connecting parts so that after I cut the wire, I can connect it to the splitter? what are those called?

thanks in advance

Re: el wire splitter
sure -- bought 3 different colors. I want to cut each of the colors in half so that each kid gets a couple. That new section needs to connect to the splitter of course. I think I need to attach a clip to the new section so that it can connect.
thanks!

Re: el wire splitter
OK, so each kid gets two pieces of el wire and you want to add ends. That's possible but how are you going to share the inverter among the kids without them pulling out the connections? Here is a tutorial on working with el wire that might help.

Re: el wire splitter
I was going to get each kid an inverter, with a splitter, and 2-3 different colors.
The splitter comes with 4 female connections. I assume I need to solder male connectors to each of the EL wire segments that I cut off. Right? I don't know the sku to buy.

Re: el wire splitter
This is the male connector and this might be a better inverter for your project
