Trinket Error Message

Post by cyclechas »

I am having difficulty with the Trinket and loading a sketch. The red LED on the Trinket board blinks all of the time. I press the reset button, the red LED dims momentarily and then continues to blink. I am attempting to load the "Blink" example sketch with no success. I am running Win XP 64bit. I would like to use the Trinket to construct the Rover so my students have an introductory robot for their own use outside of the classroom. My plans is to use the Trinket and use photocells so the Rover would behave as a line follower.

Here is the error message:

(expected 4, got -5)

avrdude: error: usbtiny_receive: usb_control_msg: sending control message failed, win error: The device does not recognize the command.

(expected 4, got -5)
avrdude: verification error, first mismatch at byte 0x0000
0x20 != 0x00
avrdude: verification error; content mismatch

avrdude: error: usbtiny_transmit: usb_control_msg: sending control message failed, win error: The device does not recognize the command.
