Does anybody have a simple way to use 1Wire devices in the Beaglebone? Specifically I am trying to get the "Waterproof DS18B20 Digital temperature sensor" to read temperature.
I am powering it with 3.3V power rail and I am using P8_6 for the data.
Any thoughts?

I found the problem! Simple electrical connectivity. BTW, you don't need the patch in Koen's blog:
