Adafruit: Beagle Bone

Hi,

I was reading about the Beagle Bone and was reading about the Proto plate kit that could be used with it. I am really new to electronics. Should I even attempt to use it?

Do you have a project in mind for it? Usually we prototype circuits on a solderless breadboard first. Then move them to a proto-board once we have them working.

I was to do something beginner simple. Something equivalent to "Hello World!" in programming.

I'd go with the solderless breadboard first because it is easier to make changes. Once you get something you want to make permanent, it is pretty straightforward to transfer it to the proto-cape.

Are there get started project tutorials (like the Arduino has) that can show you what pins on the Beagle board do what and how to make use them to create simple projects?
