Beagle Bone:How Can I get DHCP server to assign an IP adress to the WIFI adapter

How can I get a DHCP server,running on the Beagle bone, to assign an IP address to the WiFi adapter on a Beagle bone running the Angstrom distribution? Also I want to control the Beagle Board through a WiFi connection without any connection to the Internet or a PC, or Router.
