Hi,
I received my BBB yesterday and had a chance to try it. It can't seem to power up. I initially tried just a USB connection to a MacBook and a Linux desktop directly and the storage device it represents never shows up. Then I tried hooking up the HDMI and USB to a Motorola Lapdock (i use the same setup for Raspberry Pi), but nothing shows up on the display. Lastly I've tried powering it with a 6v wall wart while connected to the network and checking to see if any new devices tried a DHCP reservation on the server -- nothing.
Initially the power light would come on, but as I mentioned there is none of the usual indications that the device is active. At some point, the power light wouldn't come on either; it flickers momentarily when power is supplied or when the power button (next to the ethernet RJ45 plug) is pressed, but doesn't stay on.
Anything else I can try?
