MAX756 - necessary?

Post by luke »

I *finally* received my samples from maxim, only to find out that they decided not to give me the MAX756 for some reason. Is this a necessary part of the board? or can i just stick a 3.7 V battery in there and not worry?

ya the boost converter is only if you want to run off of 2xAA or something

so does this mean that i can leave the chip off the board and everything will work fine? (i.e. i don't have to make any changes to the board)
