That Radio Shack kit is definitely not the right thing to use for something like this. The sharpie doesn't always keep the copper on the board like it should, the whole kit is a very crude method for making (very) rough prototype boards. I defenitely wouldn't recommend using it for this project, unless you are willing to make it much bigger. Especially when you can buy professionally done boards for pretty cheap (see another post on the forum for a fellow who got one at $33)
