SD Card Reader Doesn't Work

Just got my replacement card reader, plugged it in and it doesn't show anything. I've tried it with 4 cards and every port on my computer, but I don't get any response. The last reader worked perfectly before it broke, any help would be appreciated.

No response as in the computer does not even recognize that it is plugged in?
