How soon do we think there will be native DSI Port displays as mentioned here: http://elinux.org/RPi_Screens#DSI_port?
I'm going to do this of my project as headless with a wireless Web Interface but it is a temperature controller application and it would be nice to have a native display.
I just ordered the Pi Plate Kit and I'm very eager to start. This project will be version 2 of my Brewing Temperature Controller. This was version 1 based on a blog entry I saw here: https://www.adafruit.com/blog/2011/10/0 ... ing-photos . I basically did what he did but built a 24-hour graphing display. This unit also had 3 TMP36 Sensors, Arduino Duemilanove, and one of these http://www.emartee.com/product/42030/Wr ... y%20Shield. I'm also moving to the one-wire temp sensor for accuracy.
I'm really looking forward to working with the Pi. I'm a Debian guy from waaaayyyyy back! If fact, I have about 100 Debian computer case clear stickers. Send me a self-addressed stamped envelope and I will send you one for free. PM me for my address.
