7in TFT Display - "Fuzzy" video

Using the 7in TFT display with the raspi & the adafruit linux distro the output is too fuzzy to read .. any suggestions?

It could be a problem in the display, the raspi output or the cable. The best way to figure out which is to start swapping components. Try a different cable if you have one. Also try a different video source with the display or a different display with the raspi.

Resolution might also be the problem. Try setting your resolution in config.txt to 480 x 234.

Is this the framebuffer_width and framebuffer_height values?

Wow, what a great forum! I was having the same "fuzzy" problem & setting framebuffer width & height fixed it for me. I also added the line

sdtv_aspect=3

to configuration.txt. It sets the aspect ration to 16:9.

After trying the display with a different board and cable, and using the recommended settings (sdtv_aspect=3, framebuffer_width=480, framebuffer_height=234), text on the monitor is still unreadable.

Any other suggestions?
