I was looking to add a TFT display to my Pi. If I use this one "NTSC/PAL (Television) TFT Display - 2.5" Diagonal" can I wire it to use the Pi power supply? Thanks,
Richard

No. The Pi runs on a 5v supply. These displays need 6-12v.

Then your product descriptions are all wrong on the 2.5", 2.0" and 1.5" sizes as they list 4.5-15VDC as the requirements.

Sorry, you are correct. I misread the title.
Yes you can run the 2.5" display from a 5v supply.

there is some loss on the 5V coming out of the Pi header - a seperate supply is suggested!
